This presentation demonstrates the XINA data pipeline. XINA (XINA Is Not an Acronym) is an end-to-end instrument data pipeline that has supported 5 missions, including Curiosity and MAVEN. XINA processes instrument telemetry into organized databases, allowing rapid development of powerful, and sometimes unanticipated, visualizations. The web-based user interface eliminates the need to support a distributed application and cloud-based database server allows scalability to grow with missions.
Eric Lyness (Planetary Environments Lab, code 699) is currently the software lead for the Mars Organic Molecule Analyzer instrument, scheduled to land on Mars aboard the ExoMars mission in 2020. He previously developed software and supported operations for instruments aboard MAVEN, Curiosity and LADEE.
